Agreeableness
Agreeableness is a personality trait that displays an individual's behavioural characteristics. Agreeable people tend to be kind, friendly, cooperative, warm, honest, modest, trustworthy and considerate. An agreeable person generally has a positive view of society and human nature.
A person with a high agreeableness score always puts others' interest above their own. They look for the common goods in others, are ready to patiently hear opinions of others and look for harmony instead of disputes. Agreeableness obviously helps in building a team and in maintaining a pleasant environment on the work floor. It's a fact then that agreeable people are well liked and popular among others.
Despite having so many positive aspects, agreeableness has some downsides as well. Agreeable people may not be that useful in certain occupational situations that require tough decision making. They may struggle to assert their needs and preferences. When it comes to careers, they may be so bent towards helping others get ahead that they forget to plan their own advancement. Need affirmation from others, may engage in people-pleasing behaviour.
