Amphetamine is a prescription drug used to treat people with narcolepsy, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and obesity.
Amphetamine is a controlled substance. It has high potential for misuse. This drug can't be sold or given away without prescription as it is against the law. The box comes with strict warning regarding its usage. Misuse of this drug, that is taking it for a longer period leads to drug dependence and addiction. High usage of this drug may impair or cloud a person's judgment, having risk while driving or doing other risky tasks.
Despite its proper use amphetamine may cause some side effects in a person's body. Mild side effects include:
- Headache.
- Itching.
- Upset stomach.
- Trouble sleeping.
- Vomiting.
- Decrease appetite.
- Nervousness.
- Sexual dysfunction.
- Dizziness.
Serious side effects include:
- Heart problems. Pain in chest. In severe cases, death.
- Mental health problems such as, new or worsened behaviour problems, bipolar illness.
- Circulation problem, unexplained wounds on your fingers and toes.
Amphetamine tablets get mixed with other drugs and may prevent the drug from working well.
