Atheism
To speak distinctly, atheism means only one thing, that is a lack of belief in gods. Atheism is understood as an affirmative belief that there is no god nor does it attempt to answer any other question, for instance what a person who identifies himself or herself as atheist believes in. It is simply a clear rejection of the assertion that there are gods. Atheism is quite often defined incorrectly as a belief system. Here it should be clearly understood that Atheism is not a disbelief vested towards gods or a active denial of gods; it refers to the lack of belief in gods. Atheism is neither a belief system nor is it a religion. Although there are some religions that are of atheistic view, it does not indicate towards the meaning that atheism is a religion. It can understood with this analogy, If atheism is taken as a religion, then not collecting stamps should be taken as a hobby.
