Autonomic arousal
Arousal refers to anything that results in activation or turning on of the sympathetic nervous system and prepares the body for the upcoming sequences of the actions to be undertaken. Autonomic arousal involves Autonomous Nervous System. Arousal results in increased secretion of certain body fluids, hormones and other adaptation of the body, as might be required for meeting of the immediate situation. Arousal is general adaptation or way of reaction of an organism. However, Autonomic arousal is linked with autonomic arousal disorder that is typically characterized by persistent or reoccurring signs and symptoms that is caused by the mediation of the autonomic nervous system or ANS, these symptoms generally excludes pain but including conditions like palpitation, hyperventilation, or nausea. Before giving the diagnosis of this disorder, it is first taken into notice if the condition is being caused by any medical condition, if so, the diagnosis of the disorder is not given.
