Bio psychological model
The definition of disorder as provided by the behavioral medicine based on a implementation of biopsychosocial model of health and disease. The biopsychosocial model can be understood as a general model for positing that biological, psychological (comprising of thoughts, emotions, and behaviors), and social (including, socioeconomical, socioenvironmental, and cultural) factors, all independently as well a together plays a significant role in health and disease. Bio psychological model is a part of biopsychosocial model which involves the biological and the psychological part only for understanding the disorder trajectory and treatment of a person. Here only the biological and the psychological parts are considered, instead of considering the disorder only in the biological terms as done by the biomedical model.
