Biological clock
Biological clock or the Circadian rhythms can be described as a biological phenomena which oscillate with a twenty four hour cycle. These rhythms comprises of the blood pressure, hormone levels, body temperature, the number of immune cells that are present within the blood in a given time, and the sleep-wake cycle. The cyclic alternating of day and night of the earth’s cycle is quite reliable. Therefore, it is not at all surprising that animals, plants, bacteria or any other living organism tries to adjust their behavior and their physiology accordingly. Circadian rhythms or the biological clocks are a ubiquitous adaptation of all organisms, which tries to exhibit such behaviour which is essential to overcome the most predictable of environmental challenges. A biological clock or rhythm that is found to persists under constant conditions and takes up a period of 1 day is called the “circadian” (circa, “around”; dian, “day”).
