Depersonalization
The word depersonalization refers to the feeling of disconnected or detached from one’s self. Anything that we think is solely associated with us, we refer to it as personal. While calling something personal, we tend to consider how much of the it belongs to us only and is seldom shred with society, if at all. As social beings, our identities are often diffused with the personality of other people living in our society. Personal identity generally refers to the the problem of the nature of the identity of persons and their persistence through a consistent amount of time. Here, it should be mentioned that although higher animals live in society as well, there are only few animal species, apart from human beings who have an independent personal life. However, when we have to do something that might not be ego syntonic, we make detach depersonalize ourselves from the situation.
