Goal oriented
We call a person goal oriented when we see that the person has a defined goal or objective of life and is moving at a pace towards it. Goal can vary from person to person, to person who have faced major set backs, completing daily chores can be a competent goal, or to a high achievers to increase his or her achievements can be of important goal. Even for a single person, the meaning of a goal or objective changes from time to time.
When people encounter with certain life stress or major drama, it creates substantial amount of distress in their lives. Often people who are depressed find themselves running into spells of hopelessness and helplessness. These are the people who often loses the goal orientation towards life. Often, therapeutic intervention is given to these people so that they are reoriented in their seek of goal or objective in life, which ensures well being and increased mental health.
