Grandiose plans
When something is described as grandiose, that is indicative of the meaning that it is bigger or more elaborate than necessary. Therefore, grandiose plans may be defined as plans that are exaggerated and is more elaborate than necessary. The term "grandiosity" literally refers to sense of superiority which is unrealistic. In which one considers oneself as unique and far better than others in comparison. It also infers a disdain about those people who are considered to be inferior as per the person. Such behaviour are commonly exhibited by patients who have psychotic features in their clinical picture. It is prevalent among patients of psychotic depression or schizophrenia etc. Delusions are largely characterized under four subheads, one of them is the Grandiose type or delusion of Grandeur. it is characterized by fantastical beliefs that one is famous, omnipotent or very powerful. The grandeur of delusion sometime be associated with megalomania.
