Homeostasis
Many biological motives are triggered , in part by the body when the body’s balance is disturbed. In general a body tends to maintain a state of equilibrium known as the homeostasis in many of the internal physiological processes. This is a balance, that is most crucial for life. The automatic physiological process that maintains homeostasis are guided and supplemented by human motivation or motivated behaviour. The departure or disturbance from homeostasis is known to create a state of drive that pushes a particular person or animal to work in way that homeostasis is restored. Certain hormones are also responsible for arousal of biological motives besides the need for restoration of homeostasis. Here, sensory stimuli or incentives should also be mentioned and recognized as important factor that disturbs homeostasis of the body and make a person motivated to work in the direction, so that the body homeostasis is again restored.
