Incoherent
The word Incoherent is largely used to refer to a condition where the person speaks or expresses in a way that is either incomprehensible or confusing; to pit it in simple words, it appears unclear to the listener. This can be because of variety of reasons. Proper speech or articulation requires proper functioning of the brain, mouth, tongue, and vocal cords (larynx). Damage or disordered condition affecting any of these organs might result in slurred speech. Common underlying causes of slurred speech might include alcohol or drug intoxication, stroke, traumatic brain injury,and neuromuscular disorders. Neuromuscular disorders which frequently results in slurred speech include muscular dystrophy, cerebral palsy, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, and Parkinson’s disease. The condition should be given proper medical attention and medical intervention. Apart from this psychological stressors might also result in speech that is incoherent or incomprehensible.in such cases, the person must be dealt with empathy and tolerance.
