Inferiority complex
Inferiority complex is a deep rooted feeling that we develop that we are not good enough or do not measure up compared to other people. This comparison might be based on income, how one looks, social status etc.
There are two factors that contribute to the feeling of inferiority complex. External factors as well as internal factors. External factors are the factors which come from the outside environment. And when we look further there are two main factors within external factors which contribute to the feeling of inferiority complex. These are criticisms and failures.
Another way is when our own imagination leads us to a feeling of inferiority complex.
The sufferer of inferiority complex often feels forced to place what little self they have in the few things that they can control. This can be with fancy cars, appearance and other symbols of status and wealth. They may also feel the need to brag about these things temporarily to boost self worth and make up for all the things beneath the surface that they can’t control.
