Juxta position
The word juxta position refers to the fact of two things being viewed or seen or placed very close to one another with contrasting effect. Taking as a literary technique, the definition of juxta position is to place or put two concepts, ideas, characters, or places near or next to each other in such a way that the reader or the perceiver will compare and contrast them. This technique, therefore, might also imply a link that is not necessarily meant to be real or to be trusted.
The word juxta position is derived from the Latin for “side by side” with “position,” the word was originally a French word that gradually became standardized and accepted as an English. In English grammar, the usage of juxta position is the absence of conjunctions, while grouping of the words in a list, which might then include omitting the “but” or “and.” etc.
