People with low self esteem have a low opinion about themselves and are hypersensitive, shy, awkward, incompetent and are unable to adequately express themselves. People with low self esteem focus on not making mistakes in life and are more troubled by failure. If you were systematically insulted, criticized or bullied in some way then you are more likely to have observed the negative messages from other people. Often, people with low self esteem see rejection and disapproval, even when there isn’t any.
They feel like they are worthless, less appealing or unattractive compared to other people. Low self esteem leads an individual to be the worst critic of himself. People with low self esteem lose their self control, act childishly and behave in ways that they might regret later. If low self esteem is left unchecked, it can lead to a variety of mental health issues, including anxiety and depression. In a nutshell to have low self esteem, is to live a life of misery.
