Marital conflict
A marriage involves two families, who get connected with each other through two person who wishes to love, live and cooperate with each others. The two individual involved in a marriage have their own needs which they seek to fulfil by living with each other. In the process, they have to make a number of adjustments for proper cooperation and functioning of the marriage, when the adjustment fails and the needs are not realized by, the marital conflicts arises.
Marital conflict can occur when the adjustments domains like adjustment to mate, sexual adjustment, In- laws adjustment and financial adjustment fails. Marital conflict has often been understood as a predisposing as well as a precipitating factor in the picture and exhibition of psychopathology. Therefore, marital conflicts which are often overlooked by society and perceived as something that is quite natural, deserves serious attention, both social and clinical.
