Pathological
Pathological refers to condition which is characterized by pathology. Pathology, is an area of medical specialty concerned with the determining causes of disease and the structural and functional changes that occurs in abnormal conditions. The initial efforts to study pathology were frequently stymied by religious prohibitions against autopsies, but during the late Middle Ages the society witnessed gradual relaxations, allowing autopsies so that the cause of death can be determined, whivh forms the fundamental the basis for pathology.
The knowledge required for the proper, effective, efficient and general practice of pathology is too great to be attainable by single individuals, so wherever conditions permit it, sub specialists about pathology collaborate. Among the laboratory sub specialties in which pathologists work are pediatric pathology, neuropathology, pediatric pathology, general surgical pathology, dermatopathology, and forensic pathology, etc. Psychopathology deals with pathological bend of a person’s psyche which is resulting in a distressed condition.
