Perception
The caliber to capture, process and understand the information actively to make sense out of that, is called perception.
Perceptual process is a sequence of steps that begins with the environment which leads to the perception of stimulus and action in response to the stimulus. It is a continuous process that happens unconsciously and automatically. Perception acts as a filter that allows us to exist and explain the feelings that we sense around us without becoming overwhelmed by the abundance of stimuli.
To understand our environment this ability is important in our daily lives. We can even train and improve our perception with cognitive stimulation. Perception is the ability to detect changes in the body balance, it's positions and movements.
Perception is build from sensation, which is classified into:
- Visual
- Auditory
- Touch
- Smell
- Taste
