Possession
Humans have evolved through ages securing their race, in the process it was important for them to not only have food in their stomach but also make sure that they are safe and secure from the attack of any predators. To ensure security, human tried to get land, men, animal and resources. These things that human ensured belonged to him and can be utilized as and when required is termed as their possession. In other words, the things that belongs to us is our possession.
However, problem arises when this feeling of possession interferes with the interest or independent living of another individual. This disturbs harmony, brings in distress and forms the basis of all types of conflict. Territoriality and the feeling of possession goes hand in hand in most situation of social conflict. Possession is thus an important phenomena to be studied in the discipline of social science.
