Prognosis
Prognosis is a prediction or calculative statistic guess about the recovery from a disease in medical treatment, including mental health. This might not be accurate but prognosis about a disease can raise an individual's odds to fight it out.
Professionals give prognosis based on statistics of the general population, in which they study about a particular disease that how disease acts on. They also consider factors such as age, medical history, response to treatment, whether or not other illnesses are present and what treatment is being used. Based on their studies they give an estimate about the chance of recovery from the disease.
Prognosis is the outcome about a disease and discussing it with the patient helps him to develop a fighting mentality against the specific disease. This is because mental health and physical health are intricately connected, so by keeping the mentality strong the physical strength can be improved.
