Remission
The word remission is used to denote either the reduction or disappearance of the signs and symptoms of a specific disease. It is often used to denote the period during which there is diminution. A remission can be understood as a partial remission or a complete remission. For an instant, a partial remission for the disease of cancer may be delineated as a 50% or greater reduction in the measurement parameters of tumor growth as indicated by the findings, radiologic study, or by other biological marker levels from a blood or urine test. Every disease and even every clinical trial can have its own definition of a partial remission. A complete remission (full remission), there is a total disappearance of the manifestations of a disease from the clinical picture of the patient. A person whose condition is in complete remission is often quite correctly considered cured or recovered.
