Sexual intercourse
The biological behaviour that involves two individual engage with one another in the sexual dimension of the relationship, or in other words, speaking strictly of heterosexual couples, the activities that involves the insertion of male penis in the vagina of a female, which might or might not be followed by the process of insemination is termed as sexual intercourse. The aim can be attainment of sexual pleasure or to ensure the race of their species through the process of reproduction.
Sexual behaviour, can involve foreplay, masturbation and/or intercourse, the term sexual intercourse is used only to refer to penetration of a male phallus in the female vulva. The behaviour might or might not be aimed at reproduction. However, speaking biologically, in sexually reproducing animals, reproduction occurs after sexual intercourse, followed by insemination. Sexual behaviour depends on various scenarios both situational and associated with the partner involved in sex.
