Social Isolation
The absence of relationships with family, friends or other individuals may be defined as social isolation. Social isolation is a phase being alone.
It is an experience of being separated from the community. As a result people may feel physically and emotionally removed from society.
The person who is socially isolated may have low self-esteem. Over the time of social isolation, an individual may develop depression, social anxiety or other mental health problems. Social isolation can be forced or choosen. It can be healthy or unhealthy depending on the circumstances. During social isolation, an individual may have unwanted and harmful experiences. An individual who is experiencing social isolation may avoid interacting with others due shame or anxiety, spend most of the time alone, and doesn't give importance to social or professional relationships.
