Stimulants
By the term stimulants we refer to a class of drugs that have been found to speed up the messages that are travelling within the periphery of the brain and body. They are likely make a person feel more alert, active, awake, confident or energetic. Stimulants are of several types some common ones include caffeine, nicotine, which might be easily available, or cocaine whose consumption and selling is considered unlawful in most States. Larger doses of stimulant is capable of causing over-stimulation, which results in headaches, anxiety, seizures, panic, stomach cramps, aggression and paranoia. It had been observed that long-term use of strong stimulants might have adverse effects. Stimulants are usually swallowed, snorted, smoked or injected by individuals. Medically prescribed stimulants are generally taken orally, and the duration of their effects varies depending on the type. Some common stimulants are Amphetamines, Caffeine, Cocaine, Ice, khat, Betel nut, Nicotine, etc.
