Unsteady gait
An unsteady gait refers to an abnormality in walking. this can be caused by diseases of or damage to the feet and leg (this can include the bones, joints, muscles, blood vessels, and other soft tissues) or to the nervous system that is responsible for controlling the movements necessary for walking. An unsteady gait can occur because of a temporary condition, like the infection or injury, or can also indicate a long-term (chronic) problem. An unsteady gait is sometimes mild enough to be barely noticeable or can be quite severe to cause an inability to perform tasks of daily living. Treatments for unsteady gait is dependent on the underlying cause. When it is related to a strain, sprain, or minor injury, analgesic and anti-inflammatory medications can be of some effect. More severe injuries and conditions often requires specific therapies which is directed toward underlying cause of the problem.
