Intelligence is a mental ability required to perform any activity effectively. However, it does not predict success in a specific field. Intelligence testing is one of the major achievements of psychology. Intelligence test on the basic of administrative procedure can be classified as individual test and group test. The measured intelligence is represented as Intelligence Quotient (IQ). A controversial issue regarding intelligence is the classification and education of people who fall at either extreme range of intelligence. An IQ of above 130 is called mentally gifted. Hence measurement of intelligence is of use of many respects.
