Humans constantly struggle to improve their level of well-being. Well-being refers to a dynamic state characterized by a reasonable amount of harmony between an individual�s abilities, needs and expectations and environmental demands and opportunities. Many terms like happiness, positive affect, life satisfaction, quality of lite, mental health etc. have been interchangeably used.
The most common characteristics of a person with a healthy personality are discussed here. Realistic self- appraisals, realistic appraisal of situations, realistic evaluation of achievements, acceptance of reality, acceptance of responsibility, acceptable emotional control are the characteristic evaluated here. Hence subjective well-being is affected by many factors mentioned above.
