Allay fears
The word allay means to subside or put away something. Allay fears indicate the doing away of with fear or anxiety that a person experiences. Therefore, this can be understood as a part of healing process. A person who is preoccupied with the thought of something that the person is in constant fear, he or she is in a state of distress, which is stopping him or her from attaining the state of well being. One who worries excessively and uncontrollably might be suffering from certain neurotic disorders. If one develops a cognitive bias, he or she might respond to any ambivalent stimuli and situations with fear and dread. He or she might also experience physical signs of anxiety, which include pounding heart and sweating. When this type of situation arises, one must not try to handle this alone, instead take the help of a clinician or a professional to do away with the fear.
