Greed
The word Greed is understood as the incorrect desire for more than what is decent or what is deserved by the individual. Greed is specifically exhibited when the want is not for the greater good but only for one’s own selfish interest, and it is expected at detriment of others and by large the detriment of the society. One can experience guilt for anything and everything. However, it is generally seen that guilt is most commonly experienced for possessions, food, money, status, power, fame, admiration, attention, and sex.
The feeling of greed generally arises from the early negative experiences of a person which might include parental inconsistency, absence, or neglect. These things reflect in the later life, resulting in the feelings of anxiety and vulnerability, that is quite often combined with low self-esteem, leading the person to fixate in the search of of a substitute for the love and security that he or she has lacked in their childhood days.
