Humiliation
We’ve all experienced humiliation at some point in our lives, we’ve done it to others.
The point of humiliating someone is to dehumanize them, to redefine them. In other words, to rob them of their self- perceived identity and thus, attack their power.
We see these exchanges in parliament, in the news, on television, in sports. And this feed cycle of humiliation being part of our culture.

We’ve an idea of who we are and what we’re like, and when this is challenged by humiliation, we can experience a feeling of being obliterated, a sense of loss of self.
Feelings of humiliation can lead you to serious mental issues. Humiliation can be the cause of depression, anxiety.
When kids suffer humiliation by the parents as a form of punishment, consequences can be very damaging. And kids may suffer many mental health problems such as chronically low self-esteem and many more.
