Hunger
Hunger is actually brought on by the brain. The main two hormones that take part in the process are leptin and ghrelin. Leptin is a hormone made by fat cells, and it gets released by fat cell when you eat.
Causes of hunger can be both environmental and physiological. Some examples of environmental causes are: friends inviting you to a meal, being bored, or stressed, smelling food, or forgetting last time you ate.
While some physiological examples would be needing to take more energy, having unbalanced hormones, genetic causes, or damage to parts of the body that regulate hunger.
Hunger affects our mental health. Extreme hunger can lead to many mental health issues such as depression, anxiety etc.
It’s hard to concentrate on any work when you are hungry. Your performance in school or work can really go very down because of hunger. Hunger causes many behavior issues like persons to be cranky, aggressive, hyperactive.
