Non-delusional
The word delusion was derived from Latin word ‘ludere’, which means to play. A delusion is essentially an erroneous belief that is fixed and firmly held, despite clear contradictory evidence against it. That is it refers to a firm belief which is false in reality. Delusion mostly occurs due to underlying psychological or neurological conditions, like schizophrenia.
However, often, a person suffering from such disorders where in delusion commonly appears in the clinical picture of the disorder, is absent in case of the client. The client might not experience delusion instead of experiencing all other psychological distresses which are common in such clinical condition. This is the condition of non-delusion, or a state at which delusion is absent despite having all other symptoms which confirms psychotic features of the patient. For example, there can be a prevalence of negative symptoms in the clinical picture of Schizophrenia instead positive symptoms.
