Passive Aggresive Behaviour
When people express their negative feelings indirectly by their actions instead of talking openly about them, this behaviour is known as passive aggressive behaviour. This creates a huge difference between what people say and what they do.
For instance, someone is assigned to do a task. That person if having passive aggressive behaviour may not be willing to do the task, but instead of raising his/her voice he/she will take the task, however, deliberately he/she will spoil the work.
Professionals say people who express passive aggressive behaviour may have it from childhood. Parenting, environment and other childhood abuse or influence can be a major cause to develop passive aggressive behaviour.
Following are the sign of passive aggressive behaviour:
- being disagreeable or irritable.
- complaining about being unappreciated.
- frequently criticizing or protesting.
- displaying resentment over the demands of others.
- blaming others.
- performing tasks inefficiently.
