Psychoneurotic
Psychoneurotic condition or a neurosis founded up on emotional conflict in which an impulse that has been not been allowed to express itself seeks expression in a disguised response or symptom. Neurosis refers to the bodily disturbances without any structural defects. The neurosis symptoms are the function of certain mental disturbances, origin of which is not understandable by the patients. Neurosis is the part of total reaction that occurs in the body because of some causal factors. In the reality contact of the patient remain intact through out the disorder span where the unconscious projection are absent and do not occur. The area of language functioning also remain intact. Neurosis is usually socially conditioned and not result of any kind of organicity. The common disorders where neurosis occurs includes Depression, Anxiety, Obsessive Compulsive disorder, etc. The disorders can be successfully treated by psychotherapy and do not always require pharmacotherapy.
