Self acceptance
Self-acceptance refers to the process and state of learning to loving oneself, and accepting everything about one self, in a non-judgmental way. It’s about letting go of the things that one can’t change and recognizing those which makes an individual unique. However, it is often extremely difficult to practice self-acceptance. They following can help in development and maintenance of self-acceptance:
1.Identifying and embracing things that makes one stand out.
2. Letting go off the things that one cannot change or do not have control upon
3. Then comes identifying the areas of strengths one possess.
4. Setting goals which are relevant to self-much more than the society where one lives
5. Celebrating the accomplishments, which appears to be relevant to self, instead of seeking for social validation
6. Planning ahead, as and when required, so that accomplishing them can be easier.
7. Thinking positively about self.
8. Being kind to one self.
