Self doubt
We have all experienced the feeling of self-doubt about decisions and choices we made or simply felt that we’re not good enough. Self-doubt usually occurs when an individual lack confidence or feel incapable of doing things that they might need to do. People who are in doubt about themselves generally experience uncertainty around things which are not in their control or worry about things not going according to plan.
A certain level of self-doubt is adaptive because it indicates that one is comprehending one’s need to improve in order to do a better job. However, persistent fear and self-doubt affects a life in a way that is detrimental.
There are plenty of reasons why people doubt upon oneself, some are as follows:
1. The experiences of past and mistakes
2. Upbringing and childhood
3. Social Comparisons
4. Exposure to novel situations
5. Fear of missing out or failing.
