Vasocongestion
Vasocongestion is a biological phenomena, which is typically understood as the swelling of tissues of one or more parts of body. Vasocongestion is generally caused by increased vascular blood flow along with a localized increase in blood pressure. Vasocongestion can be caused by a plenty reasons. Some of the typical causes of this biological phenomena in human beings have been found to includes sexual arousal, menstruation, Rapid Eye Movement sleep, strong emotional arousal that leads to excitement of nervous system, different organic illnesses and allergic reactions that occurs from different allergens which is usually person specific.
An interesting piece of information is that temporary vasocongestion of the cheeks of the face is what called blushing, caused by certain emotions of anger or embarrassment. however, some Vasocongestion can be serious. For example, when Vasocongestion occurs in the area around the human rectal area it leads to the formation of hemorrhoids.
