Viral pneumonia
Viral pneumonia is an infection that occur in the lungs and is caused by a virus. The most common case is the flu, however, viral pneumonia from the common cold and corona virus can occur as well. These microorganisms usually stick to the upper part of respiratory system. But the trouble begins when they move into the lungs. Then the air sacs in the lungs get infected and inflamed, eventually filled up with fluid.
Anything that weakens the body’s immune system raises the chances of a person getting pneumonia. Viral pneumonia usually develops steadily over a few days. The initial symptoms includes fever, dry cough, headache, change in appetite, sore throat and muscle pain. After a day or symptoms can get worse, rendering an individual weak and unable to continue daily routine activities. The pneumonia lasts for a stipulated time depending on the virus causing it.
